2. IPS HD+ Display

The phone flaunts HD+ display which is an impressive display at that price range. The Redmi 7A runs on the 5.45-inch IPS HD+ display with a resolution of 720×1440 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio screen.

The phone runs on the operating system of the latest Android 9.0 Pie based on MIUI 10. So you get up-to-date software from the new Redmi 7A.

Top 5 Cons of Redmi 7A

1. 18:9 display

While the Redmi 7A offers quite a good display. But currently the 18:9 aspect ratio screen is outdated and most of the smartphones are launching with a notch or a dot-notch design on top. So if you want a bigger screen with the trend of notch displays there are other smartphones available in the market such as Realme C2.

2. No 3GB RAM Variant

The Redmi 7A offers in two storage variants ie 16GB and 32GB storage models both has the same 2G RAM. It could have come with higher variants such as a 3GB RAM model.

3. Single Rear Camera

The camera of the Redmi 7A is very good and comes with a lot of features. But currently, it is a trend of dual rear cameras. So if you a looking for dual rear camera phone at a budget price range than there are other devices available in the market. But if you want a good camera phone than Redmi 7A is best with 12-megapixel Sony IMX486 sensor.

4. No Fingerprint sensor

The device has no fingerprint sensor. But it does come with a face unlock technology. However, it is a budget smartphone so we cannot expect a fingerprint for the device.

5. Small Price difference

The price of the device is quite good but there is a small amount of price difference between the two storage models. The 2GB + 16GB storage model is for Rs 5,999 and 2GB + 32GB storage model is for Rs 6,199. There is only Rs 200 difference. From my side, I could say if the price of the Redmi 7A could be increased little more and can offer a 3GB RAM variant for more faster performance.
